Juice Nursery is very concerned about the overwhelming rise of childhood obesity and has teamed with Salford University to run a programme of Physical education from the age of 2 for children within the nursery. Evidence has shown that children who are actively involved in movement, dance, sports from an early age are more likely to continue to be actively involved in sports as they get older. This service will be provide twice daily within the nursery. Tap and ballet lessons are also provided.
The programme will continuously be assessed and if necessary re-modified to ensure that all of the children can satisfactorily improve their skill levels. All of the sessions will have a maximum number of 8 participants and the children will be grouped as much as possible by physical skill level and not by age.
Developing physical skills at an early age will lead to positive self-image and will help promote healthy life practices later in life!
A quiet area will be provided in the exercise room for any child who does not wish to participate.
Comfortable cool clothing is required (jeans are too restrictive for these sessions). Juice T-shirts and shorts are available for purchase if required.
