Ho ho ho… thanks for coming to the Juice Nursery Grotto

Thank you to all of our lovely families who came along to our Juice Nursery Christmas Grotto. As well as meeting our very special guest, there was lots of festive family fun to be had!

We also raised a fantastic £90 for Mini Me Yoga, who are raising funds to support their visit to share a little love and light with the refugees in Calais.

A BIG shout out also goes to the fabulous Red House Farm, Honest Crust Pizza, Lucie Platt Yoga, AMD Regeneration, Kaballah Kandles, Matt Priestley Photography, H2Bees and Mess Around Cheshire who all donated some lovely prizes to our Christmas raffle. Thank you and a very Merry Christmas to you all!

Staff Member of the Month – October

Congratulations go to our Deputy Manager, Katie Worsley, who was our Juice Nursery October Staff Member of the Month, for doing such a marvellous job, transforming the very overgrown area outside the nursery’s front door.

Katie has worked really hard, in the rain and shine, aiming to create an interesting and inspiring outdoor area for the children to enjoy.

Watch this space (or rather ‘that’) space for more as Katie continues codevelop the area further.

Staff Members of the Month – September

September saw us award not one, but two shining stars, as our Juice Nursery Staff Members of the Month. Congratulations to Somayya Keff in our Blue Room, who was nominated by her colleagues for going the extra mile to support her key children and to Kate Cartledge in Green Room, who delivered a recent training session to staff around Quality of Teaching – how to be an outstanding practitioner.
Well done to both of you, very well deserved!

Healthy Setting Award Reconfirmed

We are delighted to share with you confirmation of Juice Nursery’s continued status as a Trafford Early Year’s  Healthy Setting, following a review of our setting and practice over the summer, which focused on our approach to healthy eating, health & safety, physical play activity and emotional wellbeing.  Clearly, we are delighted to receive this award and wanted to take this opportunity to give all of our staff a big shout out.  Achieving this is recognition of their efforts and the fantastic work that they do to promote the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

Following the closure of Orbit, we have been testing alternative software providers and, are pleased to confirm that, going forward, we will be using eyLog, which we believe will provide us with an even better tool to log and share children’s learning journeys and development.  This includes our being able to upload audio & video clips, as well as photographs which parents will be able to comment upon. We are able to upload multiple photos and group observations, highlighting the range of activities the children are involved in day to day, and showing more fully the interaction that they enjoy with friends, so fundamental to their development, as outlined in the EYFS.

Here come the girls!

A BIG shout out to all of our Juice Nursery staff who took part in this weekend’s Race for Life 5k event at Tatton Park!  What a day it was… the sun shone and we had a great time walking, jogging and running our way to the finish line, in this smashing our £1,000 fundraising target! With over £1,700 raised to date, for Cancer Research UK, we would like to thank all those that supported us, either by donating or coming along on the day to cheer us on! Same time next year?

Family fun down on the farm!

There was lots of fabulous family fun to be had today, as our Juice Nursery families got together for the afternoon at Redhouse Farm. And, as this photo proves, it wasn’t just the children that had a great time!! Thank you to everyone who came along and joined us! As well as having a great Juice Nursery get together, we raised a marvellous £120 for Prevent Breast Cancer.
