Time to say goodbye…

We had a great time (sniff sniff!) when we celebrated the achievements of our children in our Juice Nursery Preschool, at Graduation last week. It was lovely to see so many mummy’s and daddy’s, as well as grandparents & siblings come along to hear more about what the children have learnt in the Green Room this year, and to watch them perform various songs – including a rendition of ‘Let it Go’ from Frozen, as a finale!! Headed up by our most fantastic Early Years Teacher, Alex Chiorando, we would like to thank all the staff in our preschool for all they did to make the afternoon so special. We are SO sad to see the children go – it really is the end of an era for some! However, we are very sure that they are going to have a great time as they begin their lives at big school, and we wish them all the very best as they look forward to Reception!

Fireman Sam comes to Juice!

With a focus in our Juice Nursery Preschool this month of ‘People Who Help Us’ and the children were lucky enough to be paid a visit by Fire Officers from Altrincham Fire Station today, complete with fire engine! In the build up to the visit, staff in the Green Room had spent time talking to the children about why the fire service is so important, and the different roles that Fire Officers have – someone to drive the fire engine, work the hose, climb the ladders etc They even watched an episode of Fireman Sam, and were delighted when Elvis turned up (check him out on the left of the picture!) The Fire Officers spent time with the children talking about how to stay safe and who to call in an emergency, and explained all about the protective clothing that they wear and why it is important, even dressing our Preschool Teacher, Alex, in all the gear! The class were able to explore the fire engine, looking at the hoses and different cutters onboard. A great morning was had by all, so a BIG thank you goes out to all the Fire Officers for coming to say hello.
