Stay and Play Sessions

March saw us launch our new Juice Nursery Stay and Play Sessions. With the aim of building on the partnership between nursery and home, the sessions are designed to provide parents with an opportunity to come into nursery on a day that their children is with us, to see their child engaged, and having fun, in an environment set up to enhance their learning, behaviour and development.

It was lovely that a number of parents were able to join us for the first of what will be monthly sessions going forward. Dates of further sessions can be found on our website.

Healthy Body…Happy Me!

We have had a great time here at Juice Nursery, taking part in the National Day Nurseries Association’s national Healthy Body… Happy Me campaign, which promotes and encourages better health and happiness in children.

This year, the campaign focused on teaching children all about their senses, through a range of fun and engaging activities, including exploring scented feely gloves, whiffy socks & pongie play dough on Smelly Monday, tasting and painting with a variety of fruit & vegetables on Tasty Tuesday, checking out our Juice Nursery chicks on Watchful Wednesday, identifying various sounds in our nursery garden on Listening Thursday and exploring different textures on Feeling Friday!

For more on what we got up to check out our Twitter feed (Juice_Nursery) or Facebook page (Juice Children’s Nurseries Ltd) for more :)

Do something booky!

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, we had great fun here at Juice Nursery today, as we celebrated World Book Day. With the aim of encouraging children to develop a love of books and enjoyment of reading, the children and staff were invited to come into nursery dressed as a character from a favourite book or story.

A big shout out to all our staff and children who were inspired to #dosomethingbooky to mark this special day!
