Stay and Play Sessions

March saw us launch our new Juice Nursery Stay and Play Sessions. With the aim of building on the partnership between nursery and home, the sessions are designed to provide parents with an opportunity to come into nursery on a day that their children is with us, to see their child engaged, and having fun, in an environment set up to enhance their learning, behaviour and development.

It was lovely that a number of parents were able to join us for the first of what will be monthly sessions going forward. Dates of further sessions can be found on our website.

Do something booky!

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, we had great fun here at Juice Nursery today, as we celebrated World Book Day. With the aim of encouraging children to develop a love of books and enjoyment of reading, the children and staff were invited to come into nursery dressed as a character from a favourite book or story.

A big shout out to all our staff and children who were inspired to #dosomethingbooky to mark this special day!

Muddy Mornings come to Preschool!

With lots going on in and around nursery, February has been an exciting month for us here at Juice Nursery, seeing us launch several new initiatives, including a weekly Muddy Morning programme for our Preschoolers.

On a mission to keep the children in our care moving as much as possible, the children in our Green Room will be out and about, exploring and learning more about the outdoor environment, on an adventure planned by our Preschool Teacher, Kate, and the rest of the Green Room Team, based around, and designed to enhance, the room’s weekly theme.

Outdoor learning is so importance for children, for a variety of reasons including promoting the development of a healthy and active lifestyle, improving confidence and well being whilst supporting the development of children’s creativity and problem-solving skills…. and very importantly, it is simply great fun too!

Staff Member of the Month – February

A big Juice Nursery shout out to Tracy Poole, who was named our Staff Member of the Month for February.

Always proactive and a real team player, Tracy recently put herself forward to be our Physical Development Champion and has already made great progress reorganising the garden, and is brimming with ideas around developing and enhancing our physical development programmes and practice to further benefit the children here at Juice.  Well done, Tracy!

February’s Family Fun Day

A very big THANK YOU to all of our Juice Nursery parents, children and staff who came along and supported our second Juice Nursery Family Fun Day on Saturday. Big shout outs also go to Milena from Mess Around Cheshire & South Manchester and Laura from Rhythm Time Trafford for keeping us all well and truly entertained.

We sang, danced, played instruments, blew bubbles and got very very messy…. and to top it all, it even snowed….!

And, as well as having lots of fabulous fun, we also raised a fantastic £181, which all goes to The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust

Staff Members of the Month – January

Aside

Well, January was a bumper month, with us naming not one, but two members of our team – Danielle Norwood and Rebecca Jones – as our Juice Nursery Staff Members of the Month, who receive this as a result of their proactivity and enthusiasm, introducing ideas such as Stay & Play sessions, a new Blog for parents in our Pink & Purple Rooms to name but two!

Well done, ladies…keep those ideas coming!!

Spreading a little love this Christmas!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone at Juice Nursery who so very kindly bought gifts, toys, clothes, toiletries, wrapping paper and food in support of our appeal to donate to Wood Street Mission, who seek to support families in our area who are struggling to make ends meet this Christmas.

We were simply blown away by the number of donations we have received and want to thank you so very much for helping spread a little love this Christmas time.

In addition to our collection we also ran a raffle, raising funds for the charity. So, a BIG shout out to everyone who supported our raffle, either buying tickets, or for generously donating prizes. We raised a magnificent £108 and would like to thank you once again for your support – we really do appreciate it
