Juice Nursery awarded a Millie’s Mark!

We are very proud to have been awarded a Millie’s Mark by the NDNA – National Day Nurseries Association, in association with the Department for Education and Millie’s Trust

Achieving a Millie’s Mark means that we are a setting that goes over and above current requirements in terms of what we do to keep children safe, as detailed in the EYFS, aspiring to achieve excellence in terms of first aid.

All our staff have undergone paediatric first aid training, but also as a setting we have demonstrated that we have reflected on our practice to ensure that there we have tight processes and documentation in place and that our staff are competent and feel confident to apply paediatric first aid practically.

This has been a 6 month process for us, and has seen our entire team working together and we are very proud that our efforts have been acknowledged and endorsed through this very special reward.

Rest assured our focus on continuously developing our quality care and education will not stop here…watch this space for more on our First Aid Workshop for our Juice Nursery parents, coming soon!

Staff Member of the Month – November

Congratulations to Danielle Norwood, who was nominated as our Juice Nursery November Staff Member of the month, for showing bucket loads of initiative, and lots of enthusiasm and proactivity over the past couple of months.

So moved by the story behind North West charity, Millie’s Trust, Danielle took responsibility for organising a collection within our nursery for the charity, who’s aim to make First Aid training readily available, for minimal costs, and in as many places as possible. In addition, following recent Safeguarding training, Danielle has been key in implementing and rolling our several new initiatives within the nursery. Well done, Danielle!
